The Future of Virtual World Creation.

by Frans on Mar.05, 2009, under Virtual Worlds

Think of Star Trek TNG’s Holodeck, but re-imagined in the present, now add on to that the creation tools of Second Life. Bruce Branit’s World Builder gives you a vision of what that could be like. It is a stunning short movie, well worth a watch.

I'm pleased you all like this movie so much. If only I had more to do with it then just posting it. :)

I wish I could have EVEN just showed a friend who passed away last week this lovely and touching piece. Thanks to all that made the video possible.

mmmmmmmmm......I'm sitting here after watching this ...wistful maybe? smiling definitely.....knowing that what i've done as a builder in SL , and what so many others have done will pale in comparison to that which will come after us.. and feeling VERY excited about that prospect. Makes me want to log back in and get the prims rolling, i'll tell you that.

Yes Wizzy this is what we do, and in those dark times when all seems futile, remember you are inputting, to the river of creation that will even if we do not see the outcome, will give our children a platform to leap forward with. :-)

Oh this made me cry. This is what we do!
This reminds me of the video of the making of Van Gogh's painting "Starry Night":

A beautiful and well crafted film, which in a nutshell renews the effort those of us trying to shape a future which will look like that
